Account Deletion
SpeakSpend users can delete their account and associated app data from inside the app.
Delete Your Account In The App
To delete your SpeakSpend account from the app:
- Open SpeakSpend on your iPhone or Android device.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Account & Settings.
- Open Data Controls.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion steps shown in the app.
Request Deletion From The Web
If you cannot access the app, email support@speakspend.com from the email address associated with your SpeakSpend account and include the subject line "SpeakSpend Account Deletion Request". We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request.
What Gets Deleted
Deleting your account removes your SpeakSpend auth account and associated app data, including profile details, financial accounts, expenses, income entries, transfers, custom categories, and voice usage events.
What May Remain Temporarily
Some technical backups, security logs, app store records, support messages, or provider logs may remain temporarily where required for security, fraud prevention, legal, tax, accounting, dispute, or operational reasons. These records are limited to the purposes for which they are retained.
Data Export Before Deletion
CSV export is available in the app from the Records screen. Export your records before deleting your account if you want to keep a personal copy.
